Response Area

180 Square Miles, Including a population of 550,000 people. The department is made up primarily of an urban area, and surrounded by  highly populated suburban communities. The department also covers three rivers, and numerous other bodies of water. In the Northwestern part, there is a medium sized international airport. In the West, there is a large mall, two chemical labs, several office parks and a large university. In the South end, there is a port terminal that is home to a gasoline tank farm and several large grain and flour silos. In the North end, a chemical refining company has two different locations, both house bulk amounts of hazardous material.

As you can see, the department has various specialty hazards that they are responsible for protecting, and their apparatus fleet is well equipped to handle almost any problem that could arise.
